...began swimming at the age of 11 and started competitive swimming at 16 for Proviso West High School in 1995. Her first summer job as a lifeguard was at Fred Hampton Pool in Maywood, IL. Alice received extensive water safety training at the University of Las Vegas, NV.

After getting married and having three beautiful children, Coach Alice returned to aquatics. She worked for one of the best swim schools in the nation gaining knowledge and experience for three years. During that time she also managed the local park district's aquatics program overseeing 20+ staff members such as lifeguards, deck attendance, and cashiers . Alice's strong desire to give back to her community allowed her to notice the decline of adequate safety and informative knowledge of swimming and decided to become an effective voice behind it. She became certified as a lifeguard trainer in the Spring 2022 which starting this company Swim Just Because the first step in making a true change. In that time frame of building the foundation for the company Alice became and is currently the Head Coach for the Boys & Girls Swim Team at Proviso Township High School. During the summer she provides lifeguard training for the Scholars of Proviso Township High School and set them up with employment with local pools.
